Periop 101 - Surgery Training Program - Registered Nurse (RN)

Join our team of Operating Room Professionals in our New-to-OR Program! We are looking for individuals that have a desire to work in the operating room, a unique and highly specialized nursing area!

• Positions are available at both Rancho Springs Hospital and Inland Valley Hospital
• Applications accepted through September 15, 2025
• Program to begin October 13, 2025
• Two year commitment to working full time in the Operating Room is required.
• Selected candidates may be required to orient on various shifts during the program
• Along with Perioperative class time, there will be approximately 16 weeks of clinical orientation.
• Selected candidates should not plan an extended vacation during this time to ensure education opportunities are consistent.

Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California , is a licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It is Southwest Riverside County's only designated Trauma Center and a county-designated Paramedic Base Station. The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year, and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. The hospital features a Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center.

Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California , is a 120 bed acute-care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on-site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family-friendly private suites. Rancho's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Staff Operating Room Registered Nurses are responsible for providing excellence in patient care, collaborative and comprehensive care based on patient and/or family needs, providing assessments, treatment and care on assigned units. Staff Registered Nurses will also practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies as well as consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the SWHS Core Values and the hospitals mission statement.

Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area (BSP), circumference and volume.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

One (1) year experience as a regsistered nurse (RN)

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
Current BLS certification.
Current ACLS certification
Current PALS certification
