Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Summary:
Joyent is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions, ensuring efficient vendor payments, and contributing to the overall financial health of the company. This is a hybrid role, requiring 4 days per week in our Mountain View office and 1 day remote.
Position Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices with high accuracy and in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding and approvals
- Review foreign currency invoices coding and period
- Prepare and execute timely and accurate payments to vendors via various methods (e.g., ACH, wire transfers, checks)
- Perform regular reconciliation of accounts payable transactions and vendor statements to ensure data integrity
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, resolving discrepancies and providing exceptional service in a timely fashion
- Contribute to month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including accruals and reconciliations
- Assist the accounting team with other ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn
Role Qualifications:
- BA in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 1+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external vendors

The base pay range for roles at this level is listed below, but may be higher or lower in other states due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.

$83,800 - $115,150 USD

Essential Job Functions
