Job Description and Duties

Under general direction of the Manager II, the SUP I is responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of the Division of Law Enforcement’s (DLE) Fiscal Services Unit (FSU). This includes developing, planning, organizing, maintaining and directing complex and sensitive fiscal activities for the DLE. The FSU completes a variety of fiscal assignments; conducts project analyses; develops and maintains unit procedures; follows Division, Departmental, Department of Finance, Department of General Services, State Administrative Manual, and labor contract policies and procedures; works closely with bureau management, the DLE Office of the Chief (OC), and the Division of Operations, to develop and manage DLE’s fiscal activities.

Working Conditions

DOJ has adopted telework for employees who can effectively perform their essential work functions remotely. After an initial 6-month training period, this position may allow for a hybrid in office and telework opportunity, upon supervisor approval. All telework schedules are based on current workload conditions and may be re-evaluated as conditions change.

In response to critical workload, the SUP I may be required to work more than 40 hours a week due to DLE needs.
