We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Sr. Project Manager- Buildings who thrives when people are in sync and projects are running not just on time but within budget. Based at a client site in the Los Angeles area, reporting directly to the client and working alongside other project managers, you’ll be responsible not only for the overall project delivery, but also for the management of the project development from conception through completion in accordance with program objectives.  You''ll manage and provide construction oversight and resolve complex construction project related issues, disputes and disagreements. As the onsite Owners Representative, you’ll be responsible for ensuring not only the progress and technical performance of a project, but also the material management, schedule, cost, scope and safety of the team. Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and significant related experience.
  • 17+ years professional project/construction management experience
  • Proven experience in managing large programs with projects having construction values in excess of $50 million (not cumulative)
  • Proven experience in educational facility construction, public works or large commercial projects (may include projects outside of California)
  • Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management (gmp/ lump sum), project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building
  • Strong working knowledge in vendor procurements, change order negotiation, budget and schedule management, operational governances, client satisfaction and management,
  • Develop project engineer’s careers and development.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Proven experience with projects on active Community College campuses, focused on modernization and new construction using both conventional and alternative delivery methods
  • Work experience with Bond-funded programs
  • Experience with Design Build
  • Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
  • Experience with DSA and AHJ’s
  • Significant California University experience, especially in Southern California
  • Experience with Programs greater than $250 Million installed cost
  • Well versed in Public Contract Code
  • Experience in Design Management
  • Experience with Deferred Maintenance projects
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/certification

And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.

The base salary range for this position is $154,700.00 to $212,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
