Delivery Operations Manager, Semi
The Semi Business Development team is advancing Tesla’s mission of accelerating the transition to sustainable energy through the deployment of Class 8 trucks at scale and innovative business models to support those deliveries. As a Delivery Operations Manager on the Tesla Semi team, you will play a critical part in building and defining our vehicle delivery strategy. Responsibilities include scoping and defining business requirements for the legal sale and delivery of the Tesla Semi, order operations, customer pre-delivery requirements (confirm customer location, asset ownership, lienholder details, scheduling, meeting requirements to be eligible for incentives if applicable, upfitting), registration operations, and work with internal software partners to define the customer journey and the tools required to execute on it. Additionally, you will collaborate with service, production and logistics teams to drive solutions that enable deliveries of the Tesla Semi at scale across North America. To meet the goals for this role you will need to be highly motivated with exceptional management and organizational skills. Demonstrated evidence of exceptional ability in program-management is required, as this role requires daily management cross-functionally across various workstreams to ensure success. Additionally, critical thinking and sound judgement under pressure is required. Finally, we are revolutionizing the world with this product, bringing high motivation and excitement is a must. What You'll Do Define and execute our vehicle delivery strategy across North America for the Tesla Semi Support and track deliverables across Tesla’s vehicle, charging, policy, finance, logistics, and service teams to roll out new processes and technologies that will enable a seamless customer delivery experience Prepare executive materials to facilitate key business decisions, including expansion of new delivery operations as Tesla enters new markets Define a best-in-class customer journey by: ensuring customer readiness, coordinating with logistics to prepare vehicles for shipment and delivery, complying with all legal requirements to deliver and recognize revenue, identifying process gaps in existing systems, and building dashboards to track delivery KPIs Operationalize customer education strategies for successful customer onboarding Define a best-in-class customer journey by: ensuring customer readiness, coordinating with logistics to prepare vehicles for shipment and delivery, complying with all legal requirements to deliver and recognize revenue, identifying process gaps in existing systems, and building dashboards to track delivery KPIs Operationalize customer education strategies for successful customer onboarding What You'll Bring Degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experienceExperience as a Program Manager with a business operations scope of work Experience with defining requirement sets and articulating customer journey Ability to be resourceful, and autonomously drive solutions in ambiguous problem spaces Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills Experience working in a fast-paced environment on several different projects Ideally, an understanding of heavy-duty trucking and customer needs Benefits
