Accounts Receivable Clerk

Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable Clerk will process and maintain vendor and customer transactions and corresponding general ledger accounts. 

Work Environment and Expectations

• This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly in office position.

• Schedule is Monday – Friday 

• Starting pay is $24 to $25 per hour

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent 

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred 

• Advanced knowledge and efficient use of Microsoft Office Suite 

• Ability to manage data quickly and accurately 

• Familiarity with general accounting systems and procedures and computer programs

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with coding and entering vendor invoices, paying manual/ out of cycle checks, and processing weekly payment runs 

• Reconcile credit card statements and customer accounts as needed 

• Contact vendors and reconcile outstanding payments 

• Design and implement filing and reporting systems as related to position

• Assist with entering daily cash receipts 

• Process Credit memos 

• Possibility of backup on Monthly Billing Process 

• Assist with audits as needed 

• Create Spreadsheets and Maneuver Data using Microsoft Excel 

• Other responsibilities as assigned to support specific department/business needs
