The Opportunity

An excellent entry-level opportunity for early-career professionals looking to grow in finance . As a Finance Coordinator, you’ll support the organization’s day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, audits, and royalty management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and analytical, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across financial processes. This role reports directly to the Finance & Accounting Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update accurate financial records, including ledgers, invoices and expense reports
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely and accurate manner
• Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of budgets
• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for year-end close
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, pension account and prepaid expenses, coding of expenses to GL
• Maintain royalty management system, including onboarding new licensees, assisting licensees with royalty reporting, and reconciling royalty reports against payments
• Participate in the annual audit performed by our auditors, including walkthroughs and the preparation of documents
• Assist with licensee audits, including gathering of historical data, agreements, and approvals
• Assist with the development and implementation of process improvements to streamline and automate manual workflows
• Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and other tasks as assigned
• Collaborate with all parts of Finance and various parts of the business to ensure accurate financial statements
• AP Management - new vendor set up, process vendor payments
• AR Management – assisting with collections and accruals
• Experience & Skills
• 4 year degree in Accounting of Finance from an accredited university required
• Public accounting or finance experience preferred
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or NetSuite
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, organization and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal communication skills: ability to convey accounting concepts to non-accounting associates
• Self-starter with the ability to form conclusions and present findings
• Team player with the ability to work independently and willingness to take on challenges
• Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• 2-5 years’ experience in public accounting, mid-to-large sized high-growth company
• Applies a proactive approach and can think creatively and learn quickly in an evolving environment
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Capable of prioritizing conflicting responsibilities and independently driving toward deadlines in a hyper-growth environment
• Industry experience in licensing, royalty reporting preferred
