QC Sampler (Sunflower - QC)
We are looking for an entry-level QC Sampler to join our team. The Quality Control Sampler is responsible for the collection of raw materials and packaging component samples and raw material retention samples. This individual is the gatekeeper for all samples, including tracking incoming samples and outgoing samples to the various departments, including the Quality Control unit.
Responsibilities:
- Pulls products, retains raw material samples as required.
- Ensures that all sample handling activities are performed according to applicable SOP’s and cGMP requirements.
- Ensures that all ambient samples are inspected, processed and efficiently transferred to the Quality Control Lab.
- Ensures controlled and efficient storage of the samples to allow an easy retrieval.
- Develops a system to record and evaluate performance metrics within sample handling department.
- Maintains inventory accuracy within ERP.
- Maintains electronic tracking of product retain samples and archive records.
- Communicates professionally and quickly with numerous departments, electronically, over the phone and in person regarding samples, process, questions, issues, etc.
- Reviews documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Performs sampling, examination, review and release of packaging components.
- Follows/adheres to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Safety Practices, and all company policies/procedures.
- Perform other related project and duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Related work experience in a manufacturing or quality background is a plus.
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
- Capable of determining the appropriate test parameter(s) after receiving the functional and/or technical product specifications.
- Communication Skills (Oral/Written) - able to speak clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective department operations. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, specifications, safety rules and guidelines, etc.
- Computer Skills (basic working knowledge) – proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and company ERP system.
- Detail Oriented - pays close attention to detail, accuracy and completeness, double checking their work.
- Functional working knowledge of cGMPs.
- Honesty/Integrity - follow through with company values and providing exceptional quality products.
- Motivation/Initiative -ability to think and take constructive action at work without being urged.
- Planning/Organizational Skills - ability to create and use logic, and systematic process to achieve goals with effective time management skills for multi-tasking on time critical assignments.
- Problem-Solving - works systematically and logically to resolve problems, able to identify causation and anticipate results, including experience in root cause analysis.
- Safety Minded – follows/demonstrates awareness of all safety policies/procedures of self and others.
- Teamwork/Cooperation - ability to work well with others in a group and cooperates with others, in a fast paced environment.
Education Requirements : High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
