Role description:
Arcadis is seeking aProject Water/Wastewater Pipeline Engineerto join our dynamic Water Business Line in either Los Angeles or San Diego this role you will lead and support the planning design and construction of water and wastewater pipeline projects for municipal utility and private sector clients.

Role accountabilities:
As a Project Water/Wastewater Pipeline Engineer you will lead and manage the design and delivery of water and wastewater pipeline projects encompassing feasibility studies preliminary and final design as well as construction support. You will be responsible for developing alignments performing hydraulic calculations and preparing detailed design drawings and specifications for water sewer and recycled water pipelines.
Acting as a technical point of contact for clients you will attend meetings and support business development activities. Collaboration is key as you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams that include civil structural environmental and construction management professionals. You will ensure that all deliverables meet Arcadis quality standards client expectations and regulatory requirements. Additionally you will identify opportunities for process improvements value engineering and the integration of digital solutions such as BIM GIS and hydraulic modeling tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in civil or mechanical engineering (or related discipline)
- 6-12 years of relevant experience in the design and delivery of water and/or wastewater pipeline projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling tools (e.g. InfoWater WaterGEMS SewerGEMS)
- Strong technical writing verbal communication and organizational skills
- Proven experience coordinating with public agencies utilities and permitting authorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in civil or mechanical engineering
- Experience with trenchless technologies condition assessment and rehabilitation of pipelines
- Experience supporting or leading construction administration
- Background in sustainability climate resilience and integrating digital tools (e.g. BIM 360 ArcGIS)
- Active involvement in professional organizations (e.g. ASCE AWWA WEF)

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per salary range for this position is $92530 - $152675. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
