Postdoctoral positions in Cellular and Molecular Immunology Allergic Disease and Asthma

An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available in our laboratory to study the immunoregulatory pathways that control innate and adaptive immune responses involved in the pathogenesis of allergic and non-allergic lung inflammation. This position will focus on defining the molecular and cellular mechanisms that control immune energy sources among innate and adaptive immune cells. The project integrates cutting-edge molecular technologies with traditional cell- and molecular biology-based approaches. We are seeking highly motivated, collaborative individuals capable of independent reasoning and eager to learn new technologies. Candidates should possess excellent scientific writing and communication skills, with technical proficiency in multi-color flow cytometry, cell isolation, tissue culture, ELISA, RT-PCR, and animal handling. Experience measuring airway hyperreactivity is highly preferred. This position is open exclusively to recent PhD graduates or candidates expecting to complete their PhD program shortly.

The project focuses on the immunoregulation of type 2 immune responses through various molecules and motifs capable of modulating energy sources and immune metabolism pathways among immune cells. The laboratory is located in the recently built Norris Research Tower at the Keck School of Medicine, providing full-time access to outstanding departmental and university resources. The lab is fully equipped with state-of-the-art research technology, including recently installed Cytek spectral flow cytometers, FACS, magnetic cell sorters, and confocal microscopy.
