Marketing and Communications Associate
- Develop, execute, and maintain a content calendar for the website and social media platforms that align with marketing goals and target audience interests.
- Research and write engaging, informative, and SEO-friendly website copy, including articles, blog posts, product descriptions, and landing page content.
- Develop and manage the company blog, including content planning, creation, and scheduling.
- Create and source visuals, such as images, infographics, and videos, to enhance website content. Update website content as needed, including text, images, links, and multimedia.
- Format and optimize website content for readability and accessibility.
- Regularly review existing website pages to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relatability.
- Ensure website compatibility across different browsers and devices.
- Monitor website analytics to track SEO performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Optimize website content for search engines, including title tags, meta descriptions, header tags, and image alt text.
- Maintain and organize the company's vendor library, ensuring that all information is accurate and up to date. Collect and organize vendor information, such as contact details, product catalogs, and service agreements.
- Make the vendor library easily accessible to internal teams.
- Regularly review and update the vendor library to reflect changes in vendor relationships.
- Generate reports on website performance and provide insights to the marketing team.
- Use website analytics data to inform content strategy and website optimization efforts.
- Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives.
- Collaborate with other teams to gather content and ensure brand consistency.
- Manage and maintain the company's social media profiles across various platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
- Create engaging and informative content for social media platforms, including text posts, images, videos, and stories.
- Track social media analytics and generate reports on performance. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track social media performance against goals.
- Design and create visually appealing and engaging e-blasts using email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot).
- Build and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer mailing lists. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 3-5+ years in copywriting, social media marketing, content planning ideation, implementation, and creation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field (preferred).
- Experience using Constant Contact, CRM, Microsoft Office, Square Space, and Hootsuite
- Experience in social media marketing (Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Valid California driver license
- Punctuality and regular attendance (required)
- Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily.
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily.
- Move/Transport items weighing 20+ pounds, occasionally
- Ability to make repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, daily
- Stand or sit for long periods (4+ hours), daily
