Sr. Staff Accountant, Commercial Revenue

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for recording and analyzing the Company’s proprietary product sales transactions and maintaining the related reserve accounts; work directly with the Company’s 3PL and other service providers to manage sales information and activity, perform comprehensive analysis of the various reserves through collecting financial and business data from various resources; prepare and perform general procedures, journal entries and account reconciliations and maintain financial system reports during the month-end close

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Analyze and maintain accounts receivable sub-ledger; coordinate three 3PL third-party service providers to clear off aging receivables
• Review consignment reports (Sales and Inventory) from consignment customers and prepare journal entries monthly
• Prepare journal entries for proprietary products transactions thru three 3PL
• Prepare assigned comprehensive reserve analyses for proprietary products based on the financial data collected from various resources and propose corresponding adjustments
• Manage assigned reconciliation with outside parties and internal balance sheet accounts
• Perform test of transactions to evaluate internal controls at Knipper 3PL
• Prepare payments requests for quarterly charges from Group Purchasing Organizations
• Other duties and special projects, as requested
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (degree, license, certification): • Minimum four (4) year college level accounting degree, CPA or CMA preferred.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: • Ten plus years relevant experience.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work both autonomously and cross-functionally with others
• Shows initiative and is solutions-oriented
• Demonstrates sound professional judgment
• Experience with general office information systems, Microsoft Office products, and accounting software or ERP systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot tables, V-lookups, etc.)

Pay Rate Range: $75-95/hr depending on experience
