1. CDL Drivers are responsible for transporting different types of goods (dry and temperature controlled) from distribution centers to customer locations using a truck-trailer. They are also required to perform inspections before and after a trip, and unload cased products from the trailer to customer facilities. These drivers also follow appropriate safety procedures to transport dangerous cargo and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours.
2. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules according to instructions provided by operations department
3. Effective communication with operations department
4. Comply with timely trip pack/shipping documents submission with accounting department
5. Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts according to ELD rules and company policy
6. Comply with DOT, FMCSA rules/regulations and truck driving rules, regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
7. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions by following loading/unloading procedures and requirements
8. Comply with “Facility Use Policy” in order to maintain equipment and company premises up to company standards
