The Clinical Supervisor supports administrative responsibility for the department service functions and works collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager. In the absence of the unit Director and/or Manager, the Clinical Supervisor may assume the administrative scope of the unit assigned. Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current federal and/or state regulations. The Clinical Supervisor prepares, conducts and/or oversees department(s) orientation and training of personnel. Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the quality of staff and functions during their shift. Assists the Department Director in the daily operation of the unit, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel, ensuring the proper use of time, equipment, and staff. Ensure the efficient functions of the department. Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope practice. Continually assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state RN License
2. Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS (AHA) 30 days upon of hire and maintain current for ER, ICU and Telemetry.
4. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred.
5. PALS within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $43.26 to $60.96. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
