Cognee is building the memory engine + data plane for AI agents to plan, reason, and act. Our open-source Python SDK is in production at 70+ companies , hit GitHub Trending , and runs 550,000+ times per month . We’ve won early customers (including top-10 Pharma) and recently raised a large Seed .

We are looking for a Senior Developer Relations Engineer to be the technical face of Cognee in the AI developer ecosystem. You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, product, and community , helping developers build production-grade AI agents with long-term memory.

This is a senior, high-impact role based in San Francisco , with direct influence on product direction, developer adoption, and ecosystem growth.

What You Will Build

• Developer Evangelism & Advocacy
  Represent Cognee in the AI developer community through talks, workshops, podcasts, and conferences (SF, US, and global).
• Technical Content at Depth
  Create high-quality technical content: tutorials, reference implementations, blog posts, videos, and example agents using the Cognee Python SDK.
• Open-Source Leadership
  Actively contribute to Cognee’s open-source repos: improving docs, examples, APIs, and developer experience based on real-world feedback.
• Community Building
  Grow and engage our developer community across GitHub, Discord, Twitter/X, and events. Turn power users into advocates.
• Product Feedback Loop
  Be the voice of developers internally: translate developer pain points into actionable product and API improvements.
• Integrations & Demos
  Build compelling demos and integrations with LLM frameworks, vector databases, and agent stacks to showcase what’s possible with Cognee.
• Enterprise Developer Enablement
  Support advanced customers and partners with architectural guidance, best practices, and reference deployments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI agent frameworks , vector databases, or graph systems
• Public speaking at conferences or meetups
• Existing audience or strong presence in the developer community
• Prior work at a developer-tool, infra, or open-source-first company

Requirements

• Senior DevRel Experience
  Proven experience as a Senior Developer Relations Engineer , Developer Advocate, or similar role in a developer-first company.
• Strong Engineering Background
  Hands-on experience with Python and modern backend systems. You should be comfortable reading, writing, and reviewing production-quality code.
• AI / ML Ecosystem Fluency
  Deep familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, vector databases, and modern AI tooling. You’ve built or shipped real AI systems.
• Outstanding Communication Skills
  Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly—whether in writing, live demos, or on stage.
• Open-Source Mindset
  Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects and engaging with developer communities.
• Product Sense
  Strong intuition for developer experience, APIs, and what makes a tool delightful vs painful to use.
• Location
  Based in San Francisco (or willing to relocate). This is a high-collaboration, ecosystem-driven role.
