AI Solution Architect (San Francisco)
Our client, a leader in healthcare innovation for over a decade, is seeking a seasoned AI Solution Architect to join its AI Platform Partnership team. In this position, youll be one of five team members embedded at a client site, working hands-on to deploy advanced AI solutions aimed at improving healthcare operations. This role combines strategic problem-solving, creativity, and technical expertise to implement AI-driven transformations in hospital systems.
As part of a high-impact team, youll collaborate closely with both internal R&D leadership and client-side operational, executive, and IT teams to craft solutions that generate measurable improvements. Your work will directly contribute to the evolution of an AI Operational Assistant platform and support the companys continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain deep insight into client environments and internal tools to identify high-impact use cases for custom AI Operational Assistant workflows.
- Lead the design, execution, and continuous refinement of client-specific AI assistant implementations.
Technical Implementation
- Utilize LLM-based AI systems (e.g., Claude, Gemini, GPT, LLaMA) to create sophisticated conversational interfaces.
- Implement conversation flows using state machines, decision trees, or graph-based models.
- Work with tools like Amazon Lex, Langchain, Dialogflow, Rasa, or comparable platforms.
- Partner with backend developers to connect bots with CRMs, APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Extend chatbot capabilities through external integrations, scripts, and API enhancements.
Optimization, Testing & Maintenance
- Enhance conversation quality using live data to fine-tune intent recognition and responses.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues like fallback errors or misrouted conversations.
- Conduct A/B testing, unit and regression testing to validate and optimize interactions.
- Set up real-time analytics, logging, and monitoring to ensure reliable performance.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Translate operational needs into technical requirements in coordination with AI Solution Consultants.
- Work jointly with engineers, data scientists, and client-side stakeholders to iterate on product design.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of prompt structures, decision logic, and integration points.
- Provide mentorship to team members and maintain detailed documentation to ensure scalability.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in solution architecture or product management, with a track record of driving outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Proficient in agent-based systems, prompt architecture, and LLM applications.
- Skilled in programming with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C++, or similar languages.
- Deep understanding of the LLM ecosystem and emerging conversational AI trends.
- High degree of customer empathy and motivation to deliver practical, real-world impact.
- Comfortable navigating complex technical systems independently in fast-paced environments.
- Proven ability to function well in cross-functional teams involving both technical and non-technical partners.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required (approximately 2550%).
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
- Experience with voice-based conversational AI.
- Familiarity with RAG workflows, vector databases, and embeddings.
- Hands-on knowledge of knowledge graphs in chatbot applications.
- Exposure to machine learning methods for intent recognition and dialog strategy.
- Background in healthcare, including operations, clinical workflows, or finance.
- Prior experience developing AI systems within regulated industries like healthcare.
