THE WORK:
We are seeking a Lead Product Designer to join our Product Design team, and you will be the design architect of a customer’s first impression. It isn’t just about streamlining the onboarding process. It’s about earning trust early, delivering value quickly, and opening the door to a deeper relationship with Ripple. You are passionate about designing a cohesive end-to-end onboarding experience, responsible for removing friction, accelerating time-to-value, and turning new sign-ups into confident and engaged customers. You will partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering, and other cross‑functional teams to elevate onboarding, while balancing short‑term needs and long‑term strategy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Act as a design lead in a triad with Product, Engineering, and other cross‑functional team members. You will be the storyteller who rallies multiple teams around a unified onboarding vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Partner closely with a UX Research team and Product to deeply understand user personas/segments and translate insights into an impactful design strategy for a multi‑product onboarding experience
- Tackle ambiguous and sophisticated problems with Product and Engineers to propose clear, feasible design solutions
- Engages meaningfully in team rituals (standups, reviews, planning, retrospectives) and contributes to Product and Engineering
- Explore multiple concepts and test ideas through flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished visuals to improve onboarding, setup, and activation
- Champion user‑centered design and run effective workshops when needed
- Mentor designers, lead critiques, and contribute to the design system to elevate the team’s craft
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 8+ years designing digital products across UX, visual, and content design
- Delivers on deadlines, can shift quickly, and iterates while maintaining a high quality bar
- Is highly collaborative with a genuine desire to learn, understand, and identify solutions in a fast‑paced and high‑performing team environment
- Approaches problems with a well‑rounded attitude, considering the end‑to‑end customer journey rather than isolated screens or features
- Is comfortable challenging assumptions and asking stakeholders questions like “Are we solving the right problem, or just optimizing a step?”
- Manages multiple workstreams, prioritizes well, and makes smart tradeoffs
- Excellent verbal and written communication; comfortable over‑communicating across time zones in a clear and structured way
- Confident presenting work to different audiences, including leadership and at off‑sites
- Proficient with design, AI, and project tools (e.g., Figma, Lucid, V0, JIRA) and experienced with design systems
Bonus Points:
- Experience in B2B, B2C, Fintech experience
- Knows designing for enterprise solutions, Saas, Developer tools, or mult‑channel experiences
- Experience with Agile design methods
- A strong interest in Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Technology
For positions that will be based in CA, the annual salary range for this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or commissions.
CA Annual Base Salary Range
$180,000 — $225,000 USD
