About this role:

In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing and enhancing key user experiences within our ecosystem. A significant focus of this position involves building and optimizing web applications that are deeply integrated into our core product experience. This presents interesting technical challenges and the opportunity to create seamless and high-performing user interfaces. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain user-facing web applications and features with a strong focus on performance and responsiveness across various screen sizes and environments.


• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and implement new features and improvements.


• Optimize web experiences for seamless integration within different application contexts, considering factors like performance, responsiveness, and potential platform-specific nuances.


• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and provide constructive feedback.


• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following established best practices.


• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge within the team.


• Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies.


• Troubleshoot and resolve web-related issues across different environments.

Bonus Points:

• Experience developing native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).


• Experience developing web applications with a mobile-first approach.


• Familiarity with techniques for optimizing web performance in resource-constrained environments.


• Familiarity with backend development concepts and technologies.


• Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools for web applications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.


• 3+ years of professional experience in web development.


• Strong proficiency in core web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.


• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).


• Deep understanding of responsive design principles and techniques to ensure optimal experiences on different devices.


• Experience with cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization for diverse platforms.


• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling.


• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Annual Pay Range

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).

$140,000—$220,000 USD
