Location: San Diego (onsite, 5 days/week)
Overview:
High-visibility opportunity to join a corporate tax team supporting income tax provision and financial reporting for a large, complex global organization. This role offers strong exposure to leadership, cross-functional teams, and process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740, including current and deferred calculations
- Prepare and analyze tax provision schedules, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers
- Assist with financial reporting requirements including footnotes and disclosures
- Support effective tax rate analysis, forecasting, and budgeting initiatives
- Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, and external advisors
- Contribute to process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 years of corporate tax or public accounting experience
- Exposure to ASC 740 / tax provision processes preferred
- Strong Excel skills and ability to work in a fast-paced close environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or progress toward certification
- Experience with large ERP or tax provision systems
- Background in multinational or public company environment
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and process improvement focus
