Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our growing Media organization that is experiencing high growth in West Los Angeles, California. This role involves overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and driving strategic initiatives to support business growth. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing budgets, cash flow, and compliance while contributing to organizational success. Please email resume to Eric Herndon for consideration. Responsibilities: - Oversee accounts receivable and payable, including tracking deals, issuing invoices, and ensuring timely payments. - Manage company cash flow by transferring funds, processing payments, and maintaining financial stability. - Perform bookkeeping tasks, close monthly financial records, and present detailed financial statements to stakeholders. - Develop and update annual budgets and revenue goals, collaborating across teams to ensure accurate projections. - Provide corporate strategy support by preparing comprehensive information packets and making actionable recommendations. - Create financial models to support strategic planning for the organization and its clients. - Administer payroll and employee benefits, along with addressing other HR-related administrative tasks. - Collaborate with external accountants to ensure timely tax filings and payments. - Conduct reviews of profit and loss statements to provide insights that guide staffing, resource allocation, and expense management. Requirements - A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or controller roles. *A CPA is strongly preferred for this position - Proven expertise in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash flow. - Experience collaborating with CPAs to handle tax payments and submissions. - Strong ability to work effectively across teams and departments. - Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment. - Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. - Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools. - Familiarity with payroll and benefits administration is a plus.
