Purpose
Divergent is revolutionizing aerospace and defense manufacturing through DAPS. We seek visionary Portfolio Leaders with technology, strategic, and commercial expertise to drive market expansion, orchestrate cross-functional efforts, and align roadmaps with customer demand to fuel growth.
The Role
The Turbomachinery Portfolio Lead owns revenue growth in this market segment. Responsibilities include developing growth strategies, qualifying opportunities, forming partnerships, and collaborating with Program Managers to convert opportunities into contracts. The role requires engagement with primes, government officials, and engineers to manage the portfolios roadmap and growth opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a multi-year business development strategy aligning Divergents offerings with key customers, targeting programs, and planning entry points with revenue and staffing goals.
- Engage with government agencies and prime contractors to shape opportunities, ensuring Divergents capabilities are highlighted in solicitations.
- Negotiate partnership agreements (MoUs, MoAs, OTAs, CRADAs) to expand market reach while protecting intellectual property.
- Maintain active pursuit roadmaps, assessing win probability, technology readiness, and resource needs for strategic allocation.
- Coordinate with capture, contracts, program, and technical teams to execute programs successfully within the portfolio.
- Identify key stakeholders across DoD, industry, and Congress to develop a go-to-market approach.
- Translate market needs into technology and operational requirements, collaborating internally to bridge gaps and drive revenue.
Basic Qualifications
- Secret DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one within 365 days.
- 10+ years of experience in aerospace & defense product introduction or capture.
- Proven success in managing complex technical programs and relationships with government and industry leaders.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for stakeholder alignment.
- Successful track record in securing new business and executing large programs.
- Deep understanding of DoD acquisition processes (FAR, DFARS, OTAs) and familiarity with primes and Tier-1 suppliers.
- Financial modeling experience for portfolio P&Ls and scaling scenarios.
- Led engine or APU capture programs totaling approximately $25M or more.
- Technical knowledge of turbojet and combustion engines for credible technical discussions.
- Experience with engine supply chains, including castings, additive lattices, and ceramics.
Pay Range: $179,630 - $247,005 USD
