Business & Sales Operations Domain Expert
Help advance frontier AI by applying hands-on business and sales operations expertise to the evaluation, training, and improvement of AI models. You will work closely with research and program management teams to translate real operating judgment into high-quality tasks, standards, and benchmarks. Role Overview
This role focuses on making AI outputs useful for real business operations work. You will assess whether responses are operationally sound, define what high-quality work looks like, and create evaluation materials that measure meaningful improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Review business and sales operations tasks and model outputs for missing behaviors, weak reasoning, flawed assumptions, inconsistent numbers, and recommendations that would not withstand an operating review.
- Write detailed instruction specifications and golden solutions for operations problems, and create tasks that reflect real-world practice.
- Design challenging operations evaluations and benchmarks, and help develop domain-specific skills and tools with the research team.
- Collaborate with researchers and adjacent-domain specialists to calibrate standards and convert tacit operating judgment into clear, teachable criteria.
- At least 4 years of substantive ownership of a business, revenue, or sales operations function at a recognized organization. Individual quota-carrying sales experience without operations ownership does not qualify.
- Demonstrated progression to a senior role, such as Manager, Senior Manager, Director, Vice President, COO, or President, with ownership of a function, budget, or team.
- Deep expertise in at least one relevant area, including sales operations and territory or quota design, revenue operations and forecasting, CRM and go-to-market systems, pricing and deal desk, supply chain and inventory planning, business analytics, or process improvement.
- Bachelor''s degree required; an MBA or comparable advanced degree is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on professional use of large language models and the ability to distinguish sound reasoning from plausible but incorrect answers.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to provide precise, structured feedback.
- Full-time W-2 hourly employment, with an initial 6-month commitment of 40 hours per week.
- Hybrid role based in the Bay Area, California, with on-site work alongside the client team multiple days per week when required.
- Client-issued accounts and equipment will be provided, and work will take place in the client''s tools and workflows.
- This is not a remote role. Candidates must live in the Bay Area or relocate there at their own expense before the engagement begins; relocation assistance is not available.
- The employing organization manages employment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and compliance for this role.
$60 to $100 per hour.
