About the Role

We are seeking talented engineers to join our team in developing cutting-edge continuous integration and delivery infrastructure for the X platform. Ideal candidates will have experience building complex systems or possess hands-on expertise with large monorepos and distributed build systems.

What You’ll Do

• Optimize Bazel build speed vertically and horizontally


• Optimize internal language compilers


• Scale out CI for increasing engineering demands


• Write custom IDE plugins


• Rewrite and modernize services and technologies

Who You Are

• 3+ years of industry experience working on complex engineering problems.


• Experienced in designing scalable, reliable systems for internal use.


• Experienced in Bazel

Interview Process

After submitting your application, the team reviews your CV and statement of exceptional work. If your application passes this stage, you will be invited to a 15-minute phone screening with a member of the team. If you clear that interview, you will enter the main process, which consists of four steps:

1. Coding assessment in a language of your choice.


2. Coding assessment in a language of your choice.


3. Project deep-dive: Present your past exceptional work to a small audience.


4. Meet & Greet with the wider team.

Our goal is to finish the main process within one week. There will be at least one in-person interview.

Location

The role is based in Palo Alto. Candidates are expected to be located near the Bay Area or open to relocation.

Annual Salary Range

$180,000 - $440,000 USD
