As a Qualcomm Machine Learning Engineer, you will develop and implement cutting-edge machine learning techniques, frameworks, and tools that enable the efficient utilization of state-of-the-art solutions across various technology verticals.

In this role, you will be responsible for the software design and development of the Qualcomm AI Stack, SDKs, and associated tools. You will have the opportunity to showcase your passion for software design and development through your analytical, design, programming, and debugging skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Responsibilities:

• Develop software for the Qualcomm AI Stack SDKs and tools to support the execution of the latest Neural Networks on Snapdragon chipsets.
• Validate and improve the performance and accuracy of software through detailed analysis and testing of machine learning use cases.
• Assist in the development and application of machine learning techniques into products and AI solutions, enabling customers to leverage these technologies.
• Develop optimized software to enable AI models deployed on Snapdragon hardware, such as machine learning kernels, compiler tools, or model efficiency tools, to utilize specific hardware features.
• Collaborate with team members for joint design and development efforts.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, providing guidance to junior team members. Your decision-making will impact your direct area of work and the work group.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of general software development experience.
• Experience with development in a Linux environment.
• Proficiency in software development using C/C++.
• Strong software development skills, including data structure and algorithm design, object-oriented or other software design paradigms, software debugging, and testing.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, presentation, written).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience building embedded software applications.
• Experience with Android or other embedded platforms.
• Experience with development in a Windows environment.
• Knowledge of low-level interactions between operating systems (e.g., Linux, Android) and hardware.
• Software development experience with Python.
• Familiarity with various neural network architectures, such as DNNs, CNNs, RNNs/LSTMs, GANs, and LLMs.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
• Ability to collaborate across a globally diverse team and manage multiple interests.

Preferred Education:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits :

$140,800.00 - $211,200.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
