Do you have expertise developing and maintaining robotic process automation (RPA) technology? The Los Angeles County Office of Education is hiring a Software Automation Specialist! The Software Automation Specialist performs a variety of technical work in the analysis, design, programming, testing, installation, and maintenance of robotic process automation technology and evaluates end users' requests for modifications and their impact on the robotic process automation programs. 100% Remote Work is available for this role. The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following Knowledge: - Principles, practices, and techniques of robotic process automation (RPA) software, such as UiPath
- Principles, techniques, and implementation of RPAs in applications and tools (such as Pega, UiPath, NICE, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or other robotic process automation tools)
- Principles, practices, and techniques of systems design, particularly in Rational Rose, Microsoft Office Suite (such as MS Visio), or related business systems tools
- Principles and techniques of working with Screen Scraping technology, OCR, SQL, and UiPath support tools
- Development of attended and unattended programs (or bots) for the selected RPA process flow
Principles and techniques of software development life cycle (SDLC) implementation

Required Education and Experience Education: An associate's degree or equivalent college units (60 semester or 90 quarter units) including at least 15 semester or 22.5 quarter units in programming or other computer science coursework from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Experience: Two years of experience in the design, programming, and implementation of application software, including one year of experience in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of robotic process automations. Equivalency Provision: A bachelor's degree in programming, computer science, robotic automation, or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation may substitute for one year of the required general experience. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing Additional Requirements: A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites may be required.
