Medical Assistant (Administration)

Community Health Centers of America is seeking a full-time Administrative Medical Assistant to join our team at the Salida Administrative Office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical services by managing scheduling, insurance eligibility, and communication between providers and facilities. This position works in an office setting providing administrative support to providers working at partner care facilities in the surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
- Answer phones and schedule provider appointments
- Verify insurance eligibility and coordinate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
- Maintain accurate files and medical records
- Perform data entry related to patient billing, transcription, and insurance claims
- Follow legal and ethical standards in all tasks
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or a related field
- Medical Assistant certification
- Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
- EMR experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Speak Spanish fluently

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
