Senior Software Engineer, CI/CD Foundation

The CI and CD Foundation team is the backbone of our engineering velocity, focused on engineering and delivering a unified, platform-centric CI/CD ecosystem. Our mission is to streamline the integration and delivery of core client code, including the Game Engine, Studio, and User Apps. As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will move beyond simple script maintenance to building the next generation of our build platform. You will lead the charge in transforming legacy infrastructure into a self-healing, automated, and observable ecosystem. This is a high-impact role where you will leverage cutting-edge technology—including AI agents and MCP tools—to modernize how we build software at scale.

You will:

• Transform Infrastructure: Lead the migration of our CI/CD infrastructure into a fully managed, low-maintenance system. You will champion Configuration as Code (CaC), advanced Observability (O11y), and self-service automation to remove manual bottlenecks.


• Empower Engineering: Collaborate deeply with Client Engineering teams to understand their unique tech stacks (Game Engine, Studio, Apps) and engineer solutions that scale.


• Operational Excellence: Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex issues across the build, test, and release systems. Your work will directly unblock hundreds of developers and ensure the stability of the release pipeline.


• System Reliability: Drive improvements in build reliability and efficiency, ensuring our infrastructure can handle massive scale with minimal downtime.


• Innovate with AI: Leverage AI models, MCP tools, and internal AI agents to turn repetitive maintenance tasks into intelligent, user-friendly self-services.

You have:

• Extensive experience designing and maintaining large-scale modern CI/CD systems (e.g., TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).


• Strong working knowledge of cloud-based build infrastructure automation and container orchestration (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes (K8S), or Nomad).


• Proficiency in at least one modern language, such as Python, Go, C++, or Java.


• Experience implementing monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively manage build health.


• A proven track record of diagnosing deep-rooted issues in complex distributed systems and implementing long-term fixes in a customer-centric mindset.


• Preferred: Experience with building or transforming large scale cloud/on-prem build and release systems, and experience building distributed build and test systems that excel in providing rapid and reliable feedback to developers.
