Job Description and Duties
METROPOLITAN STATE HOSPITAL-Located in Norwalk, Los Angeles County.

Classifications were previously advertised as Staff Services Analyst/Associate Governmental Program Analyst and were retitled to Analyst I/Analyst II, effective January 1, 2026.The Department of State Hospitals (DSH)-Metropolitan, General Service, Procurement Office (GS), has a permanent, fulltime vacancy for Analyst I/Analyst II .
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Analyst I/Analyst II is responsible for a variety of activities and complex technical analytical staff services work in the Contract Program. Duties include consultative and analytical services to management and others, coordination of the planning, development, and final drafting of all contracted services. Incumbent must exercise the ability to act independently, remain flexible and reason logically, creatively and utilize a variety of techniques to resolve the more complex problems.
Desirables: Knowledge of Procurement and/or Fi$cal program/system, good research skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
