Part-Time Computer & STEM Lab Teacher
Location: Costa Mesa, CA
Are you passionate about preparing students for the future? We are seeking a dynamic Part-Time Computer & STEM Lab Teacher to join our private school in Costa Mesa, CA! You will deliver engaging Digital Literacy and Computer Science lessons (curriculum and training provided), while also supporting our after-school STEM Lab program. Youll be equipping students with essential digital literacy, critical thinking, and 21st-century skillswhile fostering creativity and curiosity. - Part-Time | 4 days per week
- School-day hours + After-School STEM Lab
- Teach Digital Literacy & Computer Science lessons using a provided Project-Based Learning (PBL) curriculum
- Deliver lessons that build skills such as digital citizenship, coding, media literacy, and future-ready technology skills
- Support the after-school STEM Lab program (robotics, CAD, 3D printing, makerspace activities)
- Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and ethical technology use
- Collaborate with teachers and administration to integrate technology into school culture
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Comprehensive training and onboarding
- Full access to a Digital Literacy Curriculum aligned with ISTE and SAMR standards (hosted on the LearnDash platform)
- Ready-to-use lesson plans, project templates, and interactive resources
- Ongoing coaching and support from Beyond Technology Education (BTE)
- A supportive school community and leadership team
- Passion for education, technology, and working with K-8 students
- Comfort with technology tools (Google Workspace, Office 365, or Apple)
- Experience in education, STEM, or related fields preferred (but training is provided )
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Enthusiasm for creating real-world learning experiences
- Commitment to fostering a growth mindset and digital citizenship in students
- Experience with coding platforms (Scratch, Code.org, robotics kits)
- Experience with STEM Lab equipment (3D printers, CAD software, robotics)
- Familiarity with Project-Based Learning (PBL)
