Custodian I
Job Description and Duties
Under the supervision of the Custodian Supervisor I, the night shift custodian performs duties necessary to keep assigned buildings disinfected, clean, and orderly, and performs other related work as needed. Duties include safely using and caring for cleaning equipment; sweeping and mopping restroom floors; cleaning wash basins, toilet bowls, showers, mirrors, doors and partitions; vacuuming all carpets and spot-cleaning or shampooing them as needed; stripping, waxing, and polishing all tiled floors as needed; gathering all waste paper and garbage and placing them in receptacles for disposal; washing windows inside and out; cleaning interior glass; dusting furniture, windowsills, partitions, and ledges; periodically clean, and maintain supplies in custodian closets, mop rooms, and linen closets.

Working Conditions
- The employee will work both indoors and outdoors. While indoors, the temperature and humidity are reasonably controlled; however, while outdoors, the employee is exposed to climatic conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Special Requirements
- The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
- The position(s) require(s) Medical Clearance prior to being hired.

Strong knowledge and experience in the custodial trade, strong interpersonal skills, good oral and written communication skills, excellent attendance and work ethic, strength, agility, endurance, and ability to perform labor-intensive work, interested in a team-oriented work environment.
