Underground Gas Storage Program Analyst

Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the underground gas storage (UGS) program Supervisor, the Analyst II is responsible for providing complex technical analytical support and work product. These tasks include support and management of assessments, contract management, drafting technical reports, reviewing submissions from gas storage operators, data management and project management. The incumbent will act as a lead in managing the Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) contract including work items such as; reviewing and interpreting data, drafting technical reports, submitting on behalf of CalGEM using federal software, SharePoint management, SOP development and maintenance, training and inspection coordination. The incumbent will regularly take lead in communication and coordination internally and externally.

Working Conditions

This position is located in Sacramento and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule, with employees required to work in-person at 715 P Street, MS 1803, Sacramento, CA 95814. At least three days of remote work and up to two days of in-office work per week is the available hybrid telework schedule for this position. Alternative work locations will not be considered.

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview but must show proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
