Demolition Foreman

Responsible for overseeing and managing a crew of demolition workers on a construction site, ensuring all demolition tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on time, by directing the crew, reading blueprints, coordinating with other trades, maintaining safety standards, and reporting project progress to superiors while adhering to all relevant regulations and project specifications

-Crew Supervision:
Directly manage and supervise a team of demolition workers, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and addressing any issues that arise.
-Safety Compliance:
Enforce strict safety protocols on the job site, including proper personal protective equipment usage, hazard identification, and reporting of safety concerns.
-Project Planning:
Interpret blueprints and project plans to understand demolition requirements, sequencing, and potential challenges.
-Work Scheduling:
Create and manage daily work schedules, ensuring efficient use of crew time and resources.
-Quality Control:
Monitor the quality of demolition work, ensuring proper techniques are used and project specifications are met.
-Equipment Operation:
Understand and oversee the safe operation of demolition equipment like heavy machinery, power tools, and cutting tools.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Construction experience:
Extensive experience in demolition work, including knowledge of various demolition techniques and safety procedures.( 3 years).
-OSHA Certified
-Knowledge of Contractual terms and conditions
-Knowledge of Construction Safety - OSHA Certified
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
-Ability to pass a background check and obtain clear access to project jobsite locations.
-Must be able to pass a drug screening, background check, and fit for duty physical.
-Reliable transportation to and from work.
-Must have experience operating heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, and skid steers, preferably 10+ years.

PREFERRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
-Communication:
Maintain clear communication with project managers, other trades, and site supervisors regarding progress, issues, and potential delays. Clear and concise communication with crew members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
-Paperwork and Reporting:
Complete necessary documentation including daily reports, safety logs, and progress updates.
-Technical knowledge:
Understanding of construction blueprints, structural components, and potential hazards associated with demolition.
-Safety awareness:
Strong commitment to safety protocols and ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Must have experience operating heavy equipment.

Leadership skills:
Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts effectively.
Overall Supervision over job site and subcontractors. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers, and supervisors/managers.

Maintain a close working relationship with the supervisor to ensure proper coordination of responsibility for the project. Notify the supervisor of any subcontractor not performing according to specifications or schedule.
Ensure proper paper flow of information from the field to the supervisor regarding delivery commitments, field dimensions, reports, and any other necessary correspondence.
