Nutrition and Food Service Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of dietitians and food service staff
• Guide the daily flow of on-site meal services
• Ensure food services meet PACE regulatory standards
• Conduct in-depth nutrition assessments
• Create individualized nutrition care plans
• Monitor key health signs like weight and hydration
• Provide nutrition education
• Collaborate with food service staff
• Review and approve meals
• Coordinate delivery of nutrition supplements and home meals
• Create wellness programs
• Run quality checks on food presentation and safety
• Lead changes to improve efficiency and satisfaction
• Provide training and learning opportunities
• Document nutrition stories in the EMR
• Communicate openly with participants and families
• Assist in food service or care support when needed
• Take on other duties as needed

Schedule and Shift Details

• Full-time, Monday through Friday with a steady schedule
• May include occasional travel throughout the local market.

Languages

• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Vietnamese are a plus.

Qualifications

Required

• Master's degree or higher
• Valid Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in California (CA)
• Valid ServSafe Manager's Certification
• Clinical Dietitian (3+ years)
• Supervisory (1+ years)
• Coordinating food services in a healthcare, senior care or community-based setting. (2+ years)
• 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
  • Working with Frail Elderly
  • Working with Medically Complex Participants
  • Working with People from a Wide Variety of Backgrounds and Cultures.
• Do you live within 10 miles of Downtown LA?

Preferred

• 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
  • PACE Knowledge/Experience
  • Value Based Care
