Mechanic and Machine Shop Helper
- Assist in the manufacturing and assembly of parts within the machine shop.
- Utilize machine shop tools and jigs to perform assigned tasks.
- Employ hand tools for mechanical assembly and ensure precision in the assembly process.
- Operate de-burring equipment to remove burrs and ensure smooth edges.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using various measuring devices such as tapes,micrometers, and calipers for accurate measurements.
- Familiarize oneself with the use of standard shop tools, including drill presses, saws, and grinders, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and maintain a high standard of quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Prior experience in a similar role or a strong interest in mechanical work is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of machine shop tools, fixtures, and hand tools.
- Familiarity with de-burring equipment and operation of surface finishing of metal.
- Proficiency in using measuring devices such as tapes, rulers/scales, and calipers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or instructions.
- Comfortable using standard shop tools, including drill presses, saws, and grinders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
