Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Compliance Specialist - Tax Preparer II to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of tax regulations. This role involves preparing and filing tax returns for individuals , ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. The Tax Preparer will also provide excellent customer service, guiding clients through the tax preparation process.

This a hybrid role requiring to be in office 1 day of the week for 8hr at least . There is flexibility for the day in office.

Duties

• Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Analyze financial documents to determine the appropriate tax treatment and deductions.
• Utilize financial software to input data efficiently and accurately.
• Conduct thorough reviews of client information to identify potential issues or opportunities for savings.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
• Assist clients in understanding their tax obligations and answer any questions they may have regarding their filings.
• Collaborate with other team members in public accounting to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Perform 10 key typing tasks efficiently to manage large volumes of data entry.

Requirements

• Proven experience in tax preparation or related financial roles is a must.
• Proven Proficiency in filing tax returns with Drake Software is required.
• Proficiency in US individual income tax forms 1040, Schedule A, B, C, D, E , and other forms is expected
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent math skills to ensure accuracy in calculations and data analysis.
• Previous experience in financial sales or public accounting is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of tax processes and requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate before submission.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive client information.
