Job Summary:
A Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) position is available within an acute care hospital setting located in Apple Valley, California. The role involves providing comprehensive inpatient physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patient populations. The successful candidate will evaluate, treat, and develop recovery plans for patients with various medical and orthopedic diagnoses, including post-surgical rehabilitation and chronic conditions. This position demands clinical expertise in acute care physical therapy practices, patient education, and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 5X8 shifts; Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, minimum 40 hours per week, starting on 07/28/2026.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications: BLS, California Physical Therapist (PT) license.
  • Education: Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Experience: 1 year of clinical experience in inpatient acute care setting.
  • Location Requirements: California license must be in hand.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • EMR system experience with Epic.
  • Experience with acute care procedures including assistive devices, skin integrity management, gait training, and patient education.
  • Ability to work effectively with geriatric and adult patient populations.
• Special Requirements:
  • RTO (Return to Office) must be included at the time of submission.
  • Responses to questions regarding previous employment at a facility, recent LA fire card, and references covering the past 3 years required.
  • Vaccination documentation for COVID-19 and influenza is required.
  • Must commit to working during designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day.
• Additional Information:
  • This role involves treating patients with a variety of diagnoses such as THA, TKA, CABG, fractures, strokes, and general medical diagnoses.
  • The facility is a small, community-based acute care hospital with approximately 212 beds.
  • The candidate must have experience or familiarity with EMR systems, acute care protocols, and be capable of performing patient assessments, functional evaluations, and providing patient family education.
