Roblox is looking for a conceptually driven Art Director to join our Plus Brand Creative team. You’ll help shape the visual direction of our platform, our community, and our creators. Whether you're creating work that captures the content bringing millions together to play, create, and connect each day, illustrating our commitment to safety, or developing the look and feel of a new experience—this hands-on role requires strong storytelling instincts, refined visual craft, and a deep love for the platform.

You Will

• Elevate the Roblox brand through concept-driven, high-craft art direction
• Concept, develop, and craft ideas across mediums, including mobile, social, film, interactive content, brand activations, OOH, print, experiential, and events.
• Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, marketers, and cross-functional partners to bring ideas to life—across digital, social, experiential, and in-product
• Maintain a rigorous standard of craft, inspiring visual direction and detail across all content
• Present creative concepts clearly and persuasively to internal teams and partners, building alignment and fostering consensus.
• Work autonomously, taking initiative to lead projects while ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
• Run projects through the entire production lifecycle, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring all creative meets Roblox’s brand guidelines, and timeline expectations
• Report directly to the Creative Director as part of a close-knit, high-performing Plus Brand Creative team

You Have

• 7+ years of experience in art direction or visual design, preferably in gaming and/or on premium or design-led brands - at an agency, in-house, or both.
• A portfolio demonstrating mastery of composition, typography, color, and visual storytelling with examples of both conceptual thinking and final execution across diverse mediums.
• Hands-on experience across the creative process, marketing campaigns, graphic design, and brand development.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects under deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present, explain, and advocate for creative ideas across internal teams and leadership.
• A thoughtful, resilient mindset, embracing iteration and feedback as part of the creative process.
• The ability to work independently when needed, optimally managing timelines, deliverables, and input from partners and stakeholders
• A passion for Roblox, the Roblox community and/or gaming

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page .

Annual Salary Range

$146,000—$183,920 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
