Front Desk & Intake Coordinator

Overview We are seeking a highly organized and professional Front Desk & In-take Coordinator to join our team. This pivotal role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing administrative tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of Home Health terminology, and experience in the same would be a plus.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Manage inbound and outbound calls with professionalism, demonstrating effective phone etiquette.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the office's calendar to optimize visitor flow.
- Handle medical records and documentation review to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Process medical billing and collections efficiently, addressing any inquiries related to payments.
- Assist in developing care plans by coordinating with professionals and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, contributing to a positive experience.
- Support bilingual communication with visitors as needed, enhancing accessibility for diverse populations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a home health office or similar healthcare environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with home health terminology and medical records management is essential.
- Knowledge of medical practices and medical collection processes is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to review documentation accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Proficient in using office software and scheduling tools.
- Participate in and conduct intake meetings, and provide support with intake audits as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus)
- Previous experience in a healthcare or home health setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using EMR systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
