Job Description and Duties

SENIOR PARK AND RECREATION SPECIALIST (TEJON SECTOR MANAGER)/ GREAT BASIN DISTRICT/ TEJON SECTOR/TULE ELK STATE NATURAL RESERVE

The reporting location for this position is Tule Elk State National Reserve, 8653 Station Road, Buttonwillow, CA, 93206.

Under the general direction of the Great Basin District Superintendent I, the Senior Park and Recreation Specialist (SPRS) maintains complete managerial responsibility for the overall operation of the Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park (SHP), Tule Elk State Natural Reserve (SNR), Fort Tejon State Historic Park (SHP) and Tomo-Kahni SHP. This position assists the District Superintendent in managing the administrative, maintenance, visitor services, public protection, interpretation, and real property management of the Colonel Allensworth SHP,Tule Elk SNR, Fort Tejon SHP and Tomo-Kahni SHP. The SPRS also provides efficient public service and leadership within budgetary constraints and Department/Divisional guidelines and procedures. This position may act for the District Superintendent l in his/her absence according to the established line of succession. Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.
