Field Service Engineer - SMT

This position focuses on installing, maintaining, and optimizing SMT automation equipment while resolving complex technical challenges to improve operational efficiency. Equipment Installation & Commissioning
・Install, configure, and start up SMT automation systems across North America.
・Perform system upgrades and custom modifications. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
・Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, software, and process issues.
・Provide onsite and remote support to minimize downtime.
・Work with engineering teams on complex problems. Customer Training & Support
・Train operators and maintenance staff.
・Advise on process optimization and preventive maintenance. Documentation & Reporting
・Collect and analyze data for troubleshooting and improvements.
・Prepare clear service reports for customers and management. Collaboration & Communication
・Serve as technical link between customers and engineering.
・Explain technical info clearly to all stakeholders.
▶︎ Required:
・Experience with SMT or automation equipment.
・Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
・Able to read electrical and mechanical diagrams.
・Familiar with Windows-based systems and basic networking.
・Strong problem-solving and customer focus.
・Works well independently and in teams.
・Effective communicator.
・Willing to travel up to 25%.
