Main Banker (Swing Shift)

SUMMARY:
The Main Banker is responsible for overseeing transactions and ensuring the security of our customers deposits. As well as ensure that all financial activities are in line with casino regulations to ensure accuracy.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Functions as a Main Banker. Banks include main bank, ATM/Kiosk bank, chip bank and team member service window; will function as a Cage Cashier as needed.
- Must learn, comprehend, and comply with all governmental laws and regulations, casino and department policy and procedures, Title 31 regulations, MICS, and Tribal Gaming Commission Regulations.
- Provides proper security, accountability, and control of all casino assets (i.e. keys, currency, funds) within an assigned cage area.
- Prepares all necessary internal paperwork and completes Internal Revenue Service (IRS) paperwork, Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), W2Gs and Multiple Transaction Logs (MTLs).
- Performs Kiosk/ATM drop, replace cassettes, research guest claims, verifies, and reconciles cash and tickets and prepares replacement cassettes.
- Verifies and processes cashier currency exchanges; Responsible for counting and verifying cashier transfers.
- Processes table fills/credits, and slot jackpot payouts.
- Prepares, issues, and receives gaming and non-gaming banks and receives revenue.
- Responsible for the flow of and documentation of currency and other cash equivalent documents through the main bank to support daily gaming activities.
- Responsible for counting and processing daily revenue as well as preparing cash summary reports during shift.
- Prepares and secures currency to be deposited at the casino's financial institution and handles transfer of funds.
- Processes team member tips.
- Communicates effectively with Guests and Team Members.
- Provides verification for other Cage Team Member's transactions.
- Provides assistance in the training and orientation of new cage team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Assumes a higher degree of responsibility in the absence of the supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to operate a 10-key calculator by touch and perform basic math computations.
- Knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must have excellent money handling skills, including previous cash and chip handling experience.in a banking, cage, slot, or other high-volume business.
- Ability to deal effectively, use reason and understanding, with all guests (internal and external) exercising tact, diplomacy, and patience at all times.
- Must be self-directed, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative on a daily basis.
- Must be detail oriented and have positive work ethics.
- Must be flexible and able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
- Excellent teamwork a must.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of 6 months casino cage experience or 1-year equivalent experience and/or training (i.e. Banking or high volume cash handling).
- Must be able to communicate in English. Bilingual (Spanish) or multilingual a plus.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background investigation, and maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: (*Constantly, Frequently, Occasionally)
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Must be able to lift and move items weighing a minimum of 30 lbs. repetitively.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, lift and reach frequently, manual dexterity and flexibility a must.
- Ability to multitask and handle mental/emotional and physical stress.
- A bility to work in a loud and smoke-filled environment throughout the entire shift. Exposure to flashing lights.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
- Close spaces while working with others.
