TravelNurseSource is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Red Bluff, California, 96080!

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (examples of starts: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 2:00 PM - 2:00 AM). Mid shifts with varied starts between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Schedule rotates across the week (Monday–Sunday coverage) with an every-other-weekend requirement and holiday rotation. (Day/Evening/Night rotating schedule)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care for a 15-bed ER (plus a 6-bed fast track)
- Assess and triage a wide variety of patients including stroke, abdominal pain, orthopedic injuries and psychiatric presentations
- Manage patient care across acuities with typical nurse-to-patient ratios up to 1:4 depending on acuity
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT, pharmacy, hospitalists/intensivists and unit secretaries
- Operate and monitor telemetry/Phillips central monitoring and manage ventilated patients as needed
- Serve as charge nurse when scheduled — lead the team, take a small patient load and support unit flow
- Document accurately in Cerner (FirstNet) and follow unit-specific protocols and orientation guidance

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (state-specific requirements apply)
- ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required
- 3–5 years of emergency/ specialty experience required (Trauma Level III experience preferred or above)
- Demonstrated ability to manage ventilators and acute care equipment; familiarity with Phillips central monitoring a plus
- Comfortable working every-other-weekend and participating in holiday rotations
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to rotating schedules; strong assessment and critical thinking skills
