Seasonal Clerk
Job Description and Duties
Under the supervision of the North Central Region’s Administrative Officer III (AOIII), the incumbent will assist with general office duties and assist professional, semi-professional and clerical staff in a variety of administrative tasks including mail preparation and distribution; answering telephones; performing light typing; assisting with front counter sales. Assisting with processing invoices for procurement and fleet units in FI$Cal.
- Greet and direct visitors at the Regional Office front counter.
- Front counter fishing and hunting license sales.
- Answering fishing and hunting regulation questions in-person, phone or e-mail.
- Respond to telephone calls and voicemail from the public.
- Perform general clerical office duties such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining records.
- Receive and distribute incoming mail and packages, as well as prepare outgoing mail for couriers.
- Assist the Fleet Coordinator, Procurement Analysts and Maintenance Aide with various administrative tasks.
The Seasonal Clerk classification is a non-testing classification.

Working Conditions
General Office setting. Job duties will require Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, OneNote, and Outlook) experience. The reporting location is the North Central Regional Headquarters Office in Rancho Cordova.

- Understand Department policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Read and write English at a level proficient to interact with others.
- Operate a personal computer with knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and others.
- Familiar with operating basic office equipment and procedures.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
