- Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and fixed assets.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide insights to executive leadership.
- Lead the annual budgeting process across all departments.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Support pricing strategies by analyzing labor, equipment, overhead, and market conditions.
- Design and implement internal accounting controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with tax requirements and payroll taxes.
- Manage audit processes and ensure compliance with lender reporting requirements.
- Develop documentation for accounting procedures and policies.
- Manage and develop accounting staff, set performance expectations, and support professional development.
- Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and working capital management.
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to Ownership and Executive Leadership.
- Participate in long-term strategic planning, including expansion into new service lines or markets.
- Provide financial modeling and ROI analysis for capital expenditures and strategic growth initiatives.
- Lead continuous improvement of financial systems and ERP platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Experience with financial statement preparation and review.
- Proven experience in leading annual budgeting processes.
- Strong analytical skills and experience providing insights to executive leadership.
- Experience managing audit processes and ensuring compliance with lender reporting requirements.
- Proven experience managing and developing accounting staff.
- Strong understanding of cash flow management, banking relationships, and working capital management.
- Experience with financial modeling and ROI analysis.
- Strong understanding of financial systems and ERP platforms.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
