As an Asphalt Concrete Cost Estimator, you’ll partner with project managers, engineers, and field teams to assess project requirements, analyze costs, and provide strategic input to ensure our bids are competitive and sustainable. Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)

- Minimum 3 years of cost estimation experience, preferably in asphalt and concrete construction

- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications

- Advanced numeric and math skills, with attention to detail and accuracy

- Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines

- High level of integrity, professionalism, and problem-solving capability

- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare detailed cost estimates for asphalt and concrete construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead

· Review blueprints, project plans, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements

· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and validate estimates

· Analyze historical project data, market trends, and supplier quotes to inform pricing strategies

· Update and maintain cost databases, ensuring all data is accurate and current

· Participate in bid preparation, presentations, and negotiations with clients and stakeholders

· Identify potential risks and opportunities that could impact project costs

· Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and company policies

· Provide regular progress reports and updates to management and project teams

· Support continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating department
