Job Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable Office Manager for Accountant firm to join our team. In this position you will be performing a full spectrum of admin duties, which includes front desk reception. Outside of tax season in addition to admin you will be trained to perform some bookkeeping and payroll processing work for our clients. We are looking for someone who not only wants a long term stable career here, but who also desires to continually grow and learn more responsibilities, in order to become a trusted and valuable member of our firm. Responsibilities: - Anticipating the daily needs of other staff and clients by managing the calendar, meetings and other deadlines
- Performing standard clerical duties such as copying, scanning, filing, answering phones, emails & voicemails, ordering supplies, etc.
- Attending to clients at the front desk for both accounting and tax pickup and drop off of documents, taking payments, maintaining a clean office space in the front and back of the office
- Printing client forms, generating and delivery of tax organizers, and returns. Contacting clients for delivery of tax documents or assist in contacting them to retrieve missing information
- Communicating tax results directly to clients, mailing and filing tax returns and IRS documentation
- Displaying a knowledge of accounting and tax forms, deadlines, dates and other client related information and communicating that with clients
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
- Complete tax forms, sales tax,
- Enter data, maintain records and financial statements
- Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
- Maintain positive office atmosphere through leadership and communication.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS : - Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Accounting from a four-year College or university.
- At least 6 years of progressive accounting experience.
- CPA with at least 3 years of public accounting experience preferred.
- Must have experience with Lacerte, QuickBooks and Office Tools
- Extensive knowledge of financial accounting concepts, GAAP and IFRS standards, policies, and procedures.
- Strong analytical, organizational and technical accounting skills.
- Advanced Excel, MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
