Interim Administrative & Marketing Assistant
Studios on the Park
Part Time, Non-Exempt
Expected 20-25 hours per week including Saturday evenings
Studios on the Park, a vibrant non-profit art center, is seeking a highly organized and creative individual to serve as our Marketing & Administrative Assistant. This dynamic role blends marketing, communication and administrative responsibilities to support the day-to-day operations of Studios on the Park.
Our ideal candidate is friendly, detail oriented, a strong communicator, and comfortable with a diverse range of responsibilities in a fun arts environment. Each day would be a little different as the magic comes alive with rotating art exhibitions, working artists who create on site, art classes and special events.
Studios' Administrative Coordinator will be on leave from July 1-December 1. We have selected some of their responsibilities for this position. This is a permanent part time position.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media, Marketing, & Website Management
· Monitor and maintain our Facebook and Instagram accounts
· Create and maintain a monthly social media calendar advertising upcoming exhibitions, events, and classes
· Create and schedule content
· Attend select special events to capture photos & videos for promotional use
· Update our website with upcoming classes, events, exhibition, and new artists (Wordpress)
· Regularly review website for accuracy
· Design and distribute a monthly email newsletter using Mailchimp
· Submit upcoming programming to local community calendars
· Write and distribute press releases for upcoming programming
· Create promotional flyers for upcoming programming
Events & Programming Support
· Communicate with instructors to schedule classes
· Maintain and update shared Canva calendar with events and classes
· Secure ABC licenses for monthly events
· Coordinate musicians and wineries for monthly First Saturday events
· Assist with planning and implementing other special events as needed
Administrative Duties
· Monitor and respond to emails
· Maintain and update donor spreadsheets
· Write and mail thank you letters to donors
· Organize and file physical and digital documents
· Order and maintain office supplies
· Check Post Office Box
· Maintain internal spreadsheets
· Coordinate monthly front desk volunteer/staff schedule
· Send meeting reminder emails and prepare materials for monthly Board and Artist Meetings
· Maintain up-to-date contact and mailing lists
Miscellaneous
· Learn to Open and Close the Building
· Train at Up Front Desk as Backup
· Housekeeping (Look around building to see what may need to be done)
· Assist the Operations Manager as needed for greater efficiency
· Assist curator with exhibitions
Qualifications
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Proficiency in social media platforms, Canva, Mailchimp, Google Workspace, Wordpress, and Square
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
