Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef - High Volume Casual Dining

NextGen Hospitality Solutions is looking for a motivated Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef to be part of our vibrant team in Roseville. This full-time, on-site position is perfect for those passionate about high-volume casual dining and eager to lead in a dynamic kitchen environment. In this role, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring our culinary standards are met while providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
As a Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef, your expertise will contribute to menu development, staff management, and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen atmosphere. Your leadership will guide a team dedicated to excellence in food quality and presentation. We offer a competitive salary range of $74,000 - $79,000 annually, along with career development opportunities in the exciting world of casual dining.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure culinary standards are met
- Manage kitchen staff, providing training and mentorship
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Monitor inventory and manage food costs effectively
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service
- Implement portion control and manage waste
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in kitchen management or as a sous chef
- Strong understanding of high-volume food preparation
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and methods
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
