Polisher/Material Handler

The Polisher/Material Handler is responsible for polishing, cleaning, and finishing materials, as well as moving and managing raw materials, semi-finished products, and tools throughout the production process. This position ensures that materials meet quality standards and are efficiently organized for further processing or shipping. This is a great opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a collaborative environment.

This is a 2nd shift position working the hours of 1:30pm-10:00pm.

Responsibilities

1. Works in flow control assembly and surface finishing.
2. Follow detailed manufacturing and assembly procedures.
3. Follows process order requirements for assembly and verification
4. Operates small hand and power tools to assemble products
5. Train new personnel on manufacturing procedures.
6. Use polishing equipment to smooth and finish products to meet specified standards
7. Communicate all pertinent information and advise direct Supervisor of any problems.
8. Identifies quality problems and follows reporting procedures
9. Actively participates in team activities and the accomplishment of team goals.
10. Responsible for accurately completing and processing all documents necessary for tracking operations, including databases.
11. Understand drawings and standard work instructions and apply them according to job specifications
12. Performs surface finishing activities; deburring, sand blasting and electropolishing.
13. Comply with Good Documentation Practices when creating, documenting, and reviewing quality records.
14. Follow good manufacturing practices per company operating procedures.
15. Clean and organize workbenches before and after shift.
16. Supports other Operations Departments processes; Shipping and Inventory as needed.
17. May serve on cross-functional teams to address key operational issues.
18. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional training or certification).
• Due to the nature of the work and compliance with safety protocols/regulations, fluency in English (reading and writing) is required.
• Experience in polishing, finishing, or material handling (preferred but not required).
• Basic understanding of material properties and handling techniques.
• Good physical stamina, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $19.00-$23.00. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
