Attorney - Insurance Defense

Solomon Page is partnering with a mid-size law firm in Los Angeles to identify an experienced Medical Malpractice & Insurance Defense Attorney for a contract engagement. We are seeking an attorney with strong medical malpractice or insurance defense experience to support an active litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigator with exceptional analytical, writing, and case management skills.

• Location: Los Angeles (Hybrid/Remote)
• Duration: Long term (ideally temp to perm)
• Rate: $80-100/hour

Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of medical malpractice and insurance defense litigation
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related documents
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex legal issues
• Take and defend depositions and assist with witness preparation
• Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial
• Communicate with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses
• Develop case strategy and provide timely updates on case status

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of medical malpractice and/or insurance defense litigation experience
• Experience handling all aspects of civil litigation from case inception through resolution
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience drafting dispositive motions, conducting discovery, and managing depositions
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Active admission to the California Bar (required)
